Good to the last drop...

So there's this old house in a field about sixty miles outside of Atlanta and it is filled with funky, rusted and dusted artifacts. This old Maxwell House can was hiding in a cabinet. Who knows how long it was there, but it was stamped with its original grocery store price of 79 cents. So I think it has been there a few years!

Now living a new and glamorous life, this old can supports a 1960s electric percolator and orange Melmac cup and saucer. There are two blinking C7 bulbs inside the percolator that light the glass top (simulating percolating coffee) and a steady burning C7 in the base that lights the old red "coffee is ready" light. The cup is suspended by wire molded to look like pouring coffee and steam which hides the electic cord that lights the neon C7 bulb in the cup.

My lamps are all made from found objects and/or other lamps and lights that have outlived their usefulness as their former selves. This lamp is made up of several other lamps and parts and if one looks closely you will notice the similar but different parts. Upcycled lighting.

19"H x 20"W Includes all bulbs. Power connects via the original cord plugged into the base of the percolator. A new rotary switch is installed in the base of the percolator. The lamp is weighted to support components.
