~Archival giclee print of an original multimedia collage~

In Fall of 2010 I was fortunate enough to study aboard a ship while traveling the globe for just over 100 days. This print is of one collage in a series of nine that I made while abroad on Semester at Sea. Each collage is made from materials that I collected while in the country that the collage depicts. (Check out my other shop listings for more international collages from the series.)

This piece is about Ghana, a country where everyone you meet is willing to lend a helping hand. I was inspired by the women and children there and how strong and giving they are. In the face of poverty, the people that I met there overcome all odds with grace and beautiful smiles. One will never leave Ghana without having made friends and I hope you enjoy this tribute to an amazingly unique country.

20% of proceeds from the purchase of this print will be donated directly to The Senase Project, a non-profit organization that was started by friends of mine who were also on Semester at Sea with me during our Fall 2010 Voyage. The organization is committed to bringing hope to the lives of those living in Senase, Ghana and surrounding areas by raising funds to provide education, schools, and medical supplies to those in need. To learn more about The Senase Project, the wonderful people behind it, and how you can help support their mission, check them out here:

The image is 11" x 17" and mat size is 16" x 20" so framing will be very easy. The mat is a double mat with a thin dark brown inner edge. Outside mat is a creamy neutral so the colors of the collage really pop. If you don't like the mat color, it can easily be switched out by any framing shop and the image size is very easy to work with.

The first image best reflects the true colors of the piece, they got a little washed out in the second photo with the mat. They are very vibrant and inviting colors in person.

This print is shipped with the mat and foam backing in a clear plastic bag or shrink wrapped and packaged to protect from any shipping damage.
