I made this pendant with a gorgeous dichroic glass art cabochon. It takes a special piece of glass to inspire me away from the natural stones, and this is the best example of why. Dichroic glass art is a detailed and complicated process, and the results can be stunning! Every now and then, I buy a select few pieces from my favorite artist, as each is a one-of-a-kind work of art unto itself.. the pieces pick me :) It is difficult to capture the depth and layering of the vibrant metallic looking colors. Dichroic glass art is best appreciated in person. If you like the photos, you will surely be even more delighted when you see it in person, and under different types of light. The bezel, backplate, and bail are fine silver, and the jump rings on the bail are sterling silver. I soldered the jump rings closed for extra strength. The pendant measures just under 2 inches from the top of the jump rings to the bottom, and is 1.25 inches across. I stamped the backplate with my makers mark and initials. The black cord shown in the first photo is not included, it is just to demonstrate the bail. This piece will arrive in a gift box. Thank you for taking a look at my work :)
