If your screw end is different than what's shown in my product photos, and you prefer it, just order the opposite.

Bone end has a small ball on the end of a straight shaft to hold it in place. The ball is not removable. You push it into your piercing.

Fishtail is a straight shaft that you can bend yourself or get a piercer to bend. I do them in 17mm length but if you need another length, just ask.

L end is a straight part with a bend

Shaft Length:
• about 6.5mm long
• The small "L" part of my L ends are 5mm long
• The screw portion of my screw studs is about 4.5mm wide
• However, I can adjust to any size you require if you just let me know.

< Measure - it's important >

use a ruler to measure from the middle of your piercing hole to the bottom of your nostril

< tips >
• Be gentle - do not push it hard against your nostril - that flattens it out and makes the measurement larger.
• Measure more than once to be sure
• If you have a ring that fits, measure it from the inside of one edge (Interior diameter, or ID) to the inside of the opposite edge

< Millimeters or inches? >

To measure in millimeters (which is what my rings are measured in), use the mm side of the ruler. Each tiny line is 1mm.

To measure in inches, use the inch side of the ruler. You will need to convert inches to mm to order.

Gauge is the thickness of the part that goes through your piercing. I use 20 gauge as a standard "fits most" sizing but many people like a thicker or thinner gauge.

• 18G is thicker than 20G
• 22G is thinner than 20G
• 24G is thinner than 22G

All sterling silver tarnishes – it is called oxidization.

Your order includes a polishing cloth that works on both silver and gold. It is easier to keep your jewelry clean than it is to clean it after it's heavily oxidized, so regular polishing is recommended.

Even heavily tarnished pieces will come clean in a jewelry cleaning 'dip solution' (found at jewelry counters and online).

What about gold? Usually a soak in warm, soapy water and a soft brush (works for silver too) is enough, but a dip cleaner is also a good choice for gold.

Store your extra nose jewelry in a sealed plastic bag out of the light to minimize tarnish.
