If you are looking for a special gift, choose hand-coloured maps over printed maps. While admiring the map, keep in mind that all the coloured lines and filled-in colour were painstakingly done by hand.

This is a finely executed hand-coloured map of Ross and Cromarty shires, Scotland, with an intricate decorative border. Printed in 1862 by A. Fullerton & Co., London & Edinburgh.

The map is blank on the reverse. There is a slight crease in the top right corner, outside of the map area. Otherwise, the map is in very good condition.
