Two old quill ink dip pens. First I have to say I know Nothing...at least about these pens! One is wood with a cork top or shoulder which holds the nib..the other is also wood, has "American Pencil Co., New York USA - 1140" on it, with a rubber-like top which holds the nib. These are the kid of pens you have to dip into the ink then scratch out your life story without getting blobs of ink all over it...tedious but very lovely way of writing (do we even know how to write anymore??). They are both well used and I don't know if the "nib" portion is still useable or not. On the red pen the nib is pointed and sharp and a little rusty. The black pen has a rounded little tip on the nib and is a more complicated looking nip, gold or brass attached to a black base. Anyway, they make a nice display if you're not of a mind to hunt up some ink and start your life story....

Please email me if you need more information...thanks!
