Melamine Dishes by Watertown Lifetime Ware dinnerware. Baby blush pink and white florals.

"Lifetime" was available for domestic use beginning in 1946; was designed by Jon Hedu; was honored with numerous design awards, including addition to the permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art; was made out of melamine plastic (generic for Melmac); and received the "Good Housekeeping" symbol guaranteeing replacement or refund if the product did not perform as advertised. (Advertisements of the period indicate the product had a "2 year written guarantee against breaking, cracking or chipping.")

Made in the USA!

6 Bowls 4 3/4" x 2" deep
3 Coffee Cups 2 1/4" deep x 3 1/2 across
4 Floral Patterned Coffee Saucers 6" across

Charming as a Coltswald cottage are these pale pink Vintage dishes.

The bowls are in amazing shiny smooth condition. The coffee cups are in better than pretty good vintage condition, not scratched but just missing that glossy shine.

The three saucers are in good vintage condition with lots of shine but a bit of wear markings. They are all shiny on the bottoms that tells me they weren't used much at all.

Adorably retro and just begging for a garden tea party where they would be welcome blended in with any of the finest chintz china. An extremely mid century story book setting.
