Its always tough to choose whether or not to refinish a viable vintage piece--but what the heck the vision was irresistible, to capture the spirit of a sewing age in colors and fabric.

This 1950s era sewing chair sanded to bare wood, then repainted in a soft pale blue gray--which is further distressed and glazed. An authentic 1950s Waverly home decorating fabric recovers the seat.

The seat lifts up on hinges for storing sewing notions. This chair will ship with the legs removed and will need to be screwed back in place.

It measures about 17 inches high to the seat, 26 inches to the back and 16 inches wide at its widest. The seat is a comfy 15 1/2 inches deep. The seat cushioning consists of polyfil stuffing and 100% cotton batting.

Need I mention that the sewing machine is not included.
