Antique French Curative source glass and basket Chatel Guiyon

Chatel Guiyon is a famous place in France where natural mineral springs were discovered.
The waters are thought to heal all manner of illness. This glass and its basket container with latch and leather strap are a beautiful oval shape.

It measures about 3.75"(9.5cm) high x 2" (5cm) wide x 2.75" (7cm) across the longest part of the oval and is in perfect antique condition no chips or cracks. The basket is just enough larger than the glass so that it fits snugly inside and also in perfect antique condition.

Chatel Guiyon is a famous place in France where natural mineral springs were discovered.
The waters are thought to heal all manner of illness.

The patient would collect the water (there are markings on the side of the glass to let you know how much water you've collected) and then drink it over the course of the day. The container and glass are in perfect condition. These are rare and hard to find,

This is a truly lovely piece.
