Passed down through the generations, this handmade necklace pendant has great depth with stunning ornate embellishments plated in sterling silver. Underlying is believed to be copper, which appears to show through where most boulder-like structures are; the natural aging seen on this piece has created an illusion of a lovely golden contrast. Some of these "boulders" are loosely suspended in cage or cradle-like structures. Everything runs along a breathtaking pattern in this playful and daring handmade jewelry piece. So eclectic you won't believe your eyes! If Notre Dame were a pendant, this would be it; with elaborate detailing of flowers, rope, leaves, vine, and more! Strung on original chain. Etchings seen are "IN THE 1920s", which is found on the reverse side, it represents a time of our great-great ancestors. This antique jewelry piece has been made by hand, and rumored to have come from my great-great grandmother's vast collection.
