This beautiful little sugar scuttle is in amazing shape for it's age. Per, my appraisal it was made in Sheffield England in the early 1900's. The little scoop is missing and usually fits in the back handle.
The marks read: MADE IN SHEFFIELD ENGLAND EPBM (Electro Plate Brittania Metal).
The maker is unknown. It's still quite functional for sugar cubes and cleans very easy with Wrights Silver Polish. It appears to be well made and features a floral engraving on the sides and on the lid.
The photo shows where some of the silverplate has worn off. I have seen two like it on the internet at US auction galleries, and this one is by far in the best shape. The metal under the silver plate is nickel and there is no rusting. It is apparent that it was well cared for.
