A gorgeous fully illustrated study of famous 60s sculptors; Reg Butler, Cesar, Edouardo Chillida, Eugene Dogeigne, Roel D'Haese, Jean Ipousteguy, Giacomo, Manzu, Marino Marini, Henery Moore and Jean Tinguely. Fully illustarted with large black and white photographs of the artists, the artist's work, the artist's studios and very surreal yet human photos of their creative process with scenes such as an artist working on a gigantic foot, artists sculpting faces, artists kneeling before works as if in prayer or hiding behind them, pictures of awesome eccentric studios . The book is alive with textures and many various avant garde view points and the reflections of those minds upon our reality. This is a hardcover book called The Hand And The Eye Of The Sculptor text and photgraphs by Paul Waldo Schwartz. The dust cover Published by Fredrick A. Praeger Inc. in 1969. The dust cover is a little beat up but the actual book is in great condition. The book is bound in a green textured fabric or fabric like paper binding with the title embossed in gold on it's spine.
