Antique BRASS PIE CRIMPER Pastry Jagging Wheel

Offered for sale is an antique brass pie crimper tool for cutting and decorating pie dough! I found

this piece at an estate sale along with more kitchen items and a lot of other interesting things.

Check out my other items !

I have one of these early pie crimpers in my own kitchen, and I love the way it cuts and decorates

pie dough! This piece is from the late 1800s, and it is made of cast brass. After you roll out the pie

dough, you can cut it into strips to make a latticework top. The wheel provides a crimped or

serrated edge.

After you have placed the pie shell in the plate, added the filling, and woven the latticework top,

you can flute the edges of the pie shell with the half moon shaped piece on the other end of the

tool.

The pie crimper is 4 1/4" long, and the fluting piece is 1 1/8" wide. It is in good condition!
