Vintage Minitature Native American Cherokee Basket: Hand woven natural wood fiber miniature egg basket with handle. This basket has a straightforward stripe design with natural dye, woven in a traditional manner by a member of the Cherokee Qualla tribe in NC.

The basic skeleton and handle are created with hand hewn oak splits. The body of the basket is woven with lengths of immature honeysuckle vine alternating dyed and undyed which creates the stripes. Bloodroot dye.

2 inches in diameter. 1 1/2 inches deep. Bottom to top of handle is 2 1/4 inches.
