Raggedy & Andy giant treasury book, rag doll stories; 4 Raggedy adventures and 12 Raggedy short stories. Raggedy Ann & Andy Giant Treasury is adapted from books written by Johnny Gruelle. Oversized book has hardcover with glossy finish and measures 11 inches long x 8½ inches wide with 88 pages. The stories are retold by Nancy Golden with a foreword by Corey Nash and includes original, full color illustrations by Johnny Gruelle.

Copyrighted by Bobbs Merrill Company, Inc., published by Derrydale Books 1984 and distributed by Crown Publishers Inc. The book is in very good condition with a clean name plate, no marks or writing on pages, has very little page discloration from age and only one small (approx. ½ inch long) crease on lower front spine.

The four adventure stories and 12 short stories were adapted from these orginal Johnny Gruelle books: Raggedy Ann’s Wishing Pebble; Raggedy Ann and Andy and the Camel with the Wrinkled Knees, Raggedy Ann in the Snow White Castle; Raggedy Ann and the Hobby Horse; Raggedy Ann in the Deep Deep Woods; Raggedy Ann and the Happy Meadow; Marcella: A Raggedy Ann Story.

The twelve short stories are titled: The Picnic; Shipwrecked; A Kitty Trick; The Fairy Ring; Ice Cream Sodas for All; Two Soft Brown Eyes; Hinkie-Dinkie; The Fairies’ Cure; The Brownie’s Kiss; The Hootie Owl Party; Mr. Muskrat & Timothy Turtle.

This is the must have book for Raggedy Ann collectors, as it showcases the very best of Johnny Gruelle’s stories about the well-known brother and sister rag dolls, Ann & Andy that he created in the early 1900's. Item ships USPS with delivery confirmation ( this book is heavy).

Raggedy Ann & Andy Trivia: Knickerbocker Toy Company, Inc. came out with the talking Raggedy Ann doll in 1974. These dolls in mint condition are considered rare and are highly sought after by collectors, especially if the doll is in her original box.
