PLEASE read carefully the following description.

This newspaper yarn has the thicknes of a 4ply yarn in most areas, just like your normal every day simple yarn. The thickness varies because it is spun slightly wet, so it can be thicker in some area's and thinner in others. This is not a material that you can tie hard knots with, like wrapping things and making a bow. This a a paper yarn that can be used for scrapbooking and embellishing. It can be crocheted, I tried it, see photo the really cool necklace I made. I used a big hook and it was generic so I can't really tell you what size it is. If you are a simple crocheter you can do this, if you are a more advanced crochet you can use a bit smaller hook. Don't pull hard just make your loops and chain. This newspaper yarn is so easy to repair if it breaks, don't fret, keep your glue gun heated and near by, you can over lap the two ends that parted ways and dab some hot glue on it and compress it and you can hardly tell. I made my crocheted chain a little stronger by carefully taking a small crochet hook and pulling silk yarns through the loops and around. This made it strong enough to hold my large crystal beads and lamb fur. I got so many compliments when I wore this necklace in public.

My next project that I want to do with this is to modge podge french book pages on glass candle holder and coil and glue this newspaper yarn around it. I know its going to be the coolest candle holder and how GREEN is that!!

I love the newspaper yarn, you just need a little patience and you will be able to create with it, it's really fun to work with.

okay, so who dares to be different like me and give this newspaper yarn a whirl???
