This beautiful necklace has an interesting story. The glass dome cabochon is of a 1903 painting called "Boreas" by John Waterhouse. The subject is a young girl caught in a wild spring windstorm and was painted in shades of slate and blue. The painting was lost for 90 years and fetched a price of over $1.2 million USD in the mid-1990s.

The setting is a lovely silver done in the Art Deco style and comes with a matching 20" chain with a lobster clasp.

Pendant measures approx. 2.75" long and 1.75" wide. While it's water-resistant, it is not waterproof and should not be worn while bathing or swimming.

The necklace comes elegantly presented in a black velvet hinged case.
