I found a box of old satin ruffled prize ribbons from horse shows this summer at a flea market. I knew I wanted them, but for what I didn't quite know. Then one day it hit me, make some unique and fun Christmas ornaments out of them. So this weekend I have made up several diffrent styles and colors with all kinds of themes. All in soft pastel to go with my 2011 Christmas Line called ~Pretty Pastel Christmas~
I started with the old prize ribbon, made hand sewn crepe medallions, added a bit of glitter and made the centers from handmade buttons. These display on a tree so elegantly!
Each prize ribbon measures approx. 6-8 inches long and the medallions are about 4 inches across.

This is for a lavender and yellow ornament with a teacup center!
