2" wooden slats make up this old orchard basket that according to the paper tag on the front was used to collect Italian Prunes from Emmett, Idaho.

The advertizing paper on the side is not complete. (see photo) The colors in the remaining paper are strong and clear.

The wood slats fold over to form the flat bottom of the basket. The last slat on the bottom is solid but split.

There are three bent wood strips on the outside of the basket. There is an inside and outside top ring that is 1 1/8" wide. The bent wood rings are attached to the slats using "u" staples.

There are two wire handles. These handles are strong and are used to carry the basket.

The basket is 9 5/8" tall
Measures 13 1/2" in diameter at the top and tapers to 11 1/2" in diameter on the bottom
Handles are 3 1/2" long and 2" wide

The basket is brown with naturally aged tones.

The basket is in great shape..
