This mounted canvas piece is of a 6 cent United States postage stamp from 1968 celebrating the 150th anniversary of the State of Illinois. The central image shows fields of ripening grain and a rustic farmhouse in the distance.

The face of this canvas measures 13 x 8 inches (33 x 20.3 cm). It is a sample from a series of 20 pieces in this size. Larger sizes are available. If you don't see it among my other Etsy listings please inquire.

I wanted to enjoy stamp artwork without a magnifying glass, without trapping these great little pieces of art in rarely seen binders. I started to blow them up and thought of Past Postage. Vintage postage stamps, meticulously scanned, cleaned, enlarged and printed on a premium archival canvas using professional equipment. The canvas is given a protective UV coating and stretched and stapled over handmade wooden frames of kiln dried poplar. Smaller pieces like this one are stretched over a half inch thick piece of high quality birch ply. All artwork comes securely packaged and ready to hang.

Thank you.
