This is a super cool vintage Royal Typewriter with the green keys, I believe it to be from the 1940s to 1950s. It is definitely in need of some love and restoration, but it has told some great stories and is quite a special piece. It was purchased from the estate of Mr. Frank Gibney, (all of the following information is from Wikipedia) who was an American journalist, editor, writer and scholar. Correspondent of Time, editor of Newsweek and Life, he was the vice chairman of the Board of Editors at Encyclopædia Britannica and wrote several books, most notably about Japan. During World War II, he worked as a naval interrogator at Iroquois Point near Pearl Harbor.
Gibney wrote and edited a number of books, including The Penkovsky Paper, which was alleged to have been commissioned by the CIA, and The Pacific Century, which was later adapted into an Emmy Award-winning public television series. (Wikipedia)

Shipping is expensive because the typewriter is so heavy, if you are local, we can arrange for pick up.
