This is a custom PC board I made that allows you to use your own ROM chips to refurbish your old NES games, or put your own homebrew games on original hardware. With this board, you can make games without having to remove the original ROM! Just clip the /CE pin (pin 22) on the original ROM and wire the pin to VCC.

Find detailed instructions and explanations on this board here:

I offer three variants for this board: the bare PCB, a test PCB with a 32-pin DIP socket, and a board with one 39SF040 Flash memory chip.

The board is compatible with the 27C series of EPROM, and the 39SF series of flash memory. The board can be used for both the PRG and CHR ROM chips as necessary for your game. It can also be used for the PRG ROM on the 28-pin UNROM boards. Just be sure to solder the pads on the back to configure the board to the settings you need. See the pictures for an example - note that the installation pictures are of an older revision of the board.

When put onto the board properly, it fits nicely inside the cartridge, even with sockets on the boards for testing out your chips before you permanently solder them in your boards. PLEASE CHECK if your adapter will fit before you solder anything! There are some board types that only have room for one board instead of two, or are too tight of a fit (28-pin Konami boards are usually problematic). If you are having problems, send me pictures, or the board number, and I will try to help as best as I can.

Please, check out my website listed above for extremely detailed instructions on how to construct a game of your own, and if you have any questions, contact me!
Message or email me for larger quantity inquiries. If you need more stock, please contact me - I might have some extra that's not reflected here.
