These antique French photo negatives on glass are on the top 10 in our list of strangely beautiful finds. Marked Plaques Instantanées A Gelatino-Bromure d'Argent by the company J. Jougla, these were used to develop photographs any time from the early 1870s, when the technology was invented, to 1911, when the Jougla company merged with that of Lumière.

These can be enjoyed as they are, or brought to a framer's who can do a clever job with them with lighting at the back.

You will be getting the nine glass plates pictured here, in their original box. Each mesureas about 4 x 5 inches or about 11 x 13 cm.
