Gourdy is one-of-a-kind. Hand-sculpted polymer clay over foil and wire. He stands about 3.5 inches tall, including his stem, and is about 3.5 inches wide. I've painted him with acrylic paints (including his eyes), glossing his eyes and teeth afterwards for added realism. A fabric-coated wire tendril has been glued into his stem. He's protected with a few coats of acrylic sealer. Here's his story:

Gourdy loved soakin' up the rays in the pumpkin patch with his buddies.

One day, a strange thing happened. A tractor pulled up and these giant creatures stepped off and began plucking his friends from the ground, one by one!

Scared and confused, Gourdy and a few remaining friends rolled themselves toward the edge of the patch, eventually making their way into my yard.

Though it took much coaxing, Gourdy now realizes that not all pumpkins are destined for the carving block. He's grateful that not all of the giant creatures are knife-wielding barbarians. He'd gladly come hang out with you and join in with the fall festivities...as long as you promise to keep the knives in the drawer!

Thanks for stopping by!
