The focus of this amazing brochure was to show wartime consumers how to remake old furniture to give each piece a new 'modern look.' Today, these makeovers seem so kitsch that the transformation is really the ruination of perfectly good antiques! It was published by Dupont as a brochure to sell their paint products and distributed by the Shelton Hardware & Furniture Co. in Shelton, Washington.

There are a few condition issues including a bit of sun-fading on the cover, creased corners on the cover and inside, a couple of small tears and the binding is abraded… other than that it is in pretty good shape for a piece of 66 year old ephemera! This is a great collectible for those interested in mid-century modern design, graphics or even wartime memorabilia.

The brochure measures 8.25" x 11.25" and has 28 pages.
