This was used in the 1920's and 1930's for getting the car engine warm so it would start on very cold days. They would fill it with kerosene and light it then, they would hang it directly under the motor. Now days you can't even stand on the third step of a ladder with having a warning label :)
Hard to read but the label says "Auto Motor Heater, Pat Pending" the rest I am not sure enough of to state.
This is so charming with its worn graphics, the metal knob that contrasts the red, the handle and the fine mesh or screen that contrasts the solid metal texture.
Looks like someone used this a lot and even soldered the bottom to fix a leak. I am not sure if it works.
Looking at the few others that are online this appears to be a Bunsen.
Wonderful piece for the automobile collector and great decor for the primitive or farmhouse.
The piece stands about 10 1/4 inches tall.

Yes, If the items are able to fit into one box and shipping is cheaper than shipping in multiple boxes. Sometimes the size of the box needed is so large there are oversize extra postal charges. In this case it may be cheaper to ship in two boxes. I will let you know if I am not able to combine items into one box. The excess shipping charges, if I can combine shipping, will be refunded to you via your payment source once packed and shipped.
Please convo shop owner for shipping rates, as those listed are for the contiguous US ONLY.
