I was inspired to make this beautiful flower pot after seeing the flower pots in Martha Stewart Living magazine this summer. It was mostly white with a touch of purple barnacle (see last photo). This flower pot is my version of this beautiful garden pot.

This pot would be perfect as a housewarming gift, Christmas gift or just for your coastal home. It's the perfect size to plant an african violet, a cactus or your favorite combination of succulents.

The terracotta pot has been edged on the top and bottom with tiny Pearl Umboniums. The rest of the pot is covered with white shells, barnacles, pieces of broken coral and a variety of other white and tan shells, some of which I collected myself off the beaches of North Carolina and Costa Rica. This is a beautiful three-dimensional planter because of the coral and barnacles. (All coral used was harvested from a shipping channel only. This is to allow ships to get into port.)

This would be perfect in your coastal home or as a gift.
