Antique blacksmith tongs, made more than a century ago, of hand forged steel. Very rustic, very primitive. You can see hammer marks on the tongs themselves. The handles are tapered and one has a nail grabber on the end. These are blacksmith tools made by a blacksmith, procured from a giant old barn, on a historic local farm, nearby.

Beautiful warm brown and iron patina. Heavy metal. They still work, still swing open and shut, and feel uncannily cool in the hand.

About 8" long.

Great condition. Amazing artifact and a gorgeous piece of found sculpture and history.

antique blacksmith tongs. 1900s. Hand forged steel. Rustic primitive.
