This tiny house is called a hokora or hokura, and is a miniature Shinto shrine either found on the land of a larger shrine or on a street side protecting travelers from evil spirits. This piece is rustic and humble in its origins. Great red pagoda style roof with keyhole opening. Roof and front are stained a red, sides base and back are a wooden color. Made from asian hardwood and held together with tiny nails.

Great addition to a bookcase or tablescape.
