Vintage cotton dish towel, hand dyed with our own designs: "Black Holes". Monogrammed.

Teichopsia Textiles was founded in Brooklyn by two artists, Jhanna Kosicki and Valerie Skakun. We met through designing costumes for a play in New York. Jhanna studied Ceramics at Carleton College and Valerie studied Fine Art at Cooper Union and Textiles at California College of Art.

After a few sessions of dying fabric outdoors in the Catskill Mountains last Summer, and visiting antique stores for tablecloths, we noticed that most had little use for those with stains and small holes. For our Tablewares, we hand dye our designs using vintage linens, thus giving them a second life saturated with color.

We are currently branching out into Accessories, which we use new cotton goods. If you have cotton linens, clothes, or accessories that you would like us to refresh with our designs, contact us at teichopsiatextiles [at] gmail.com
