You're a delight. That's what I'm naming this material, a sound alike for the actual name eudialyte. It's truly an amazing stone, with it's almost ruby color notes, with what seems at first glance to be all a contrasting black which isn't really but also a very dark, deep green,( I know because it left green residue on my hands coming off the cutting wheels), a glossy root beer brown, and a snow flake white, but that's just what you can see from a little ways away. On closer inspection you'll see that the red crystals, shift from pigeon's blood out to a rosy magenta, there are crystalline flecks of green, even yellow suspended in the white, both the crimson and the brown shifts in the light to flash gold. Each cab displays a quality unique to the material, some I've mentioned here, and so many others I leave for you to discover.
Hypnotic, exotic and if it stays together under the pressure of the cutting and finishing process, it takes an amazing polish. I WILL hunt for better rough, now that I know what to look for and I'm better able to judge the quality. I should have some more to offer, hopefully in time for Valentine's Day 2012. But these last few cabs are it, folks. I'm sorry for doubting my own ability to cut this very fragmentary material, and kick myself for just picking up a few chunks to play with. 20/20 hind sight's the pits!
