Originating from a local estate, I knew the late Gentleman of German heritage who made these for his family, probably ca 1950s, though perhaps older. Made of felt and hand finished, they feature what appears to be glass glitter, metallic and cotton gold & white rick rack, earlier vintage black shoe buttons, some hand embroidery, black lace, and other trimmings of Christmas gone by. Mom's Victorian/Edwardian style stocking has some padding in the heel and toe area. Pop's stocking features a wonder argyle sock pattern. Kitzel the house cat's stocking was obviously designed to portray one of his favorite things, an inhabitant of the home goldfish bowl. Measurement of the stockings follows: Mom; 12" x 7", Pop; 11" x 7", and Kitzel; 8" x 5"

The stockings all show some typical age wear, light soiling and there is of course some missing glitter. Approximately 50 years old, I find them aged very charmingly.

**Please note that whenever possible I will be happy to discount shipping on multiple item sales when combined on one invoice. If multiple items will fit safely together in a single box there may well be a very significant shipping discount - it all depends on weight and the size of the box required. Please inquire before purchasing in multiples so that an accurate invoice may then be made up for you. Also, many items are available for worldwide shipping - if not noted as such, please do not hesitate to ask for an overseas shipping quote. Thank you!
