This lovely serving plate is by George Jones & Sons aka Crescent Ware. The pattern is called "Old Swansea" and was discontinued in 1917. It features beautiful wild roses and a decorative band of trim. The backstamp on this was only used from 1891-1920.

This has scalloped edges and measures just over 10 1/2" wide and 8 1/2" high. This platter was in service for many years, but is still in good condition. This piece beautifully marries the transfer ware and hand painting techniques, so there are minor imperfections in the glaze and pattern. These should not be considered condition issues. There are only a couple light scratches, visible only in the light at certain angles. They do not affect the paint.

You will get the exact item shown. Local pick up or International delivery available (please send me a message and I'll give you a quote). Gift packaging available upon request.
