The Red Sun is one of the few flat, 2D pieces of glass that I still have. I made several of these suns in the late 80s, but this one was my favorite. The reds in this sun just seem to work well together. The red rondel, which forms the sun at the center, almost glows in the right light. The rays pour out from the sun in threes. Dark red shooting from the star in the center, lighter reds as you move toward the edge.

This is my own original design and I really like the way it turned out. The sun is 22 inches across so it is a fairly large piece. Because some of the red glass is dark, you need to hang this piece someplace where it gets bright light behind it.

I set a high price on this piece because it is one of my favorite pieces, and I am not really sure I want to sell it.
