An antique tintype full body portrait of a handsome young family. The father is standing, and his beard is one of the best I've ever seen. You know he grew it to make himself look older. It's that kind of beard. The mother is pretty and holds the infant, in a long christening gown, on her lap.

Some surface wear from age - rub marks and edge damage and some fine cracks, but it's in mostly good condition. One slight bend, but mostly very flat.

These make great decor, especially as autumn and halloween are coming. Also great for crafts and art projects, or for making your imaginary family tree!

About 3.5 by 2.5 inches.

What is a tintype? An early photograph, from the last half of the 1800s. Light sensitive emulsion coating a thin piece of metal. Unlike modern photographic processes, this process did not create a negative, meaning that every tintype is one of a kind, completely unique! Tintypes are an important part of photographic history - their relative inexpensiveness and sturdiness made them available to a wider audience, making photography the most democratic of art processes!
