First, I don't know much about these celluloid boxes. I think it is Victorian and manufactured in the 1800's or early 1900's. I have a few in my collection and then I stopped collecting them. I also have two more for sale. It was used for something because the inside is sectioned off with three places that held something, what, I don't know. The taffeta lining is stained and ripped in places and it smells very musty. There is a mirror inside also with a sticker on it. Former owner must have placed it there and I never removed it. Latch and hinges present and in working order. Celluloid top in good condition with no cracks or missing pieces. Lifted a tad on some of the edges. Little boy and girl pictured. The bad part of the box is the missing/ripped paper on the lower front and the sides. Last picture shows the paper missing on the top part of the side and the other side, not pictured, it is all missing. The lower back has some chipped/ripped on the side edges. I was always going to find some wallpaper or thought about doing some sponge painting on it to make it more presentable. Never got around to do it though. Maybe someone else will know how to fix it. It still looks OK when on display. It is 7 1/4" long, 5 1/4" wide and 3 1/2" high. I describe the best I can and if I missed something, please ask.

Thanks for stopping by.
