Sparklewren 'Butterfly' Winged Overbust corset digital garment pattern- 19-35" waists
Digital file type(s): 2 PDF
A digitised and graded pattern taken directly from the original Sparklewren archive. Now on an indefinite hiatus, the brand was renowned for its exquisite corsetry creations. Although it is no longer possible to commission a Sparklewren corset, you can now create your own with our series of digital patterns! You can also view our latest exhibition, a retrospective on the Sparklewren brand, for further inspiration on corset design.
This dramatic 'winged' overbust corset includes hip gores and three neckline cut options: butterfly, sweetheart and scoop styles. It is a relatively mild 'fashion' silhouette that is best suited for less curvy figures. This pattern is not recommended for beginner sewers, and is best suited for those with corset making experience. The pattern is provided without sewing instructions or seam allowances. It is strongly recommended that you create a mock up with this pattern and to experiment with different seaming techniques and bone placement. The technical illustrations provided with this pattern are intended to show seam placement and general garment shape.
The pattern is graded in waist sizes 19-35". Your recommended corset size is 3-4" smaller than your natural waist. A measurement chart is available for each size. The pattern is provided in PDF format, with files for A1 paper and tiled on A4 paper (designed to be printed from home with the panels taped together).
A minimum 50% of all sales go directly to The Underpinnings Museum to help fund future exhibitions and acquisitions. 10% of each sale goes directly to Jenni Hampshire, the designer behind Sparklewren.

Love this patter, one of the easiest patterns to put together! Im not experienced in corset making but this one is not difficult to make.
Beautiful pattern! Really easy to assemble / modify with very base corset construction knowledge.
Lovely patterns, I found that measurements were accurate and I had no issues printing it on US letter paper.
It's a good base pattern and really well illustrated. It is extremely tiny!! From my attempt measurements came out roughly CF 11.25" long, Bust 26" (edge to edge) and hip 31.5" (edge to edge).
