Burying Beetle
Necrophorus vespillo
Family: Silphidae
This beetle has a keen sense of smell and feeds on small carrion such as dead mice and birds! A useful creature and pretty, too.

Vintage Book Page from a natural history book, published in 1965.
Beautiful illustrations by Vladimir Bohac.

Page size: 20 x 26 cm OR 8 x 10 inches, approximately. These pictures look stunning in a set. For a discount on multiple purchases, see below.

The prints in this collection are on cream paper with occasional mild tanning to the edges and the odd defect as might be expected. There is a very faint, almost imperceptible shadowing of the text from the reverse, as seen on the scan. This can be eliminated by placing a sheet of black paper behind the print.
Your print will packed carefully and posted in a cardboard-backed envelope, via airmail if overseas. All prints, whether antique, vintage or modern should be protected from exposure to direct sunlight.
