Over 4 ounces of sterling silver went into this exquisitely detailed Liberty Bell dinner bell. Here, the iconic symbol of American independence has been finely cast in solid sterling silver for your table.

The sterling dinner bell is 3" high. The mark, a cursive T with a lion in it is, I believe, one of the marks for Towle. The other mark is: Sterling.

After much searching, I've found this is a rare piece. And at today's value (lower than in the last few months), the scrap value alone is over $125.

Lightly tarnished with incredible quality detail.. No dents, no dings, no cracks, no creases. Some wear where the clapper has met the inside of the bell. I'm guessing somewhere between the 1910s and 1940s.

Fabulous aged patina. And look at the incredible workmanship on the chain, and the crisp, clear lettering on the bell. Fabulous for Holiday entertaining, or as a gift.

Beautiful and <loud> antique dinner bell!
