This hand printed botanical fine art print is a celebration of the potency of weeds which find their niche in a harsh environment. I love the way the forget-me-nots, dandelions and grasses keep coming back for more.

This print is hand printed on cotton paper, Wonder Weed XIX is printed from a collagraph plate with a whole forget-me-not embedded in the plate. Individually inked plants are used as the mono print element . A collagraph is rather like printing from a collage and results in an embossed print.

Perfect for a warm rustic home decor.

The last photograph shows another print from the Wonder Weed series in a frame. This is to give you an idea of what your purchase might look like framed. The print listed is sold unframed so that you can choose your own framing style – and to make it more affordable to post.

The 15cm x 15cm plates are inked with quality oil-based intaglio and relief inks and printed with an etching press onto a 34cm x 28cm piece of quality Somerset cotton velvet paper 300gm.

Image = 15x15cm; approx 6inchesx 6inches
Paper size = 34x28cn; approx 13 ½ x11 inches

The print is signed, titled and numbered in pencil. 1 / 1 means it’s a one of a kind.
It is also embossed with a small version of my workshop's logo. The embosser is also made by myself.

This artwork was conceived and created solely as an original fine art print. Unlike a gicleé print or any other computer print out, none of my prints are reproductions of a pre-existing painting or drawing .

I like to use top quality heavy weight paper (this one is Somerset 100% cotton, Velvet, 300gm) so It is best not to roll up prints for posting, especially when the printing process results in a fair amount of embossing. I will therefore only ship my prints flat and protected with card.
