Patented in 1947, this unique, wonderfully designed lighter was manufactured in the USA by Ward Manufacturing. There are no serial numbers or production markings to precisely date when this lighter was actually manufactured. The Nimrod Pipe Lighter somewhat resembles a nut in the middle of a bolt. Made from machined aluminum, it is both light-weight and windproof. To light, pull the two halves of the cylindrical body apart, exposing the wick (see photo #2, then #3), and then turn the strike wheel with your thumb. The Nimrod creates a large flame that cane be easily drawn down into a traditional pipe or hooka.

This lighter is in very nice condition and works well. It will be shipped with a flint and without fluid. (Please do not store this lighter with the flint though, as it will deteriorate and become impacted over time.) I've cleaned the firing mechanism, cleaned the aluminum body, installed a new NOS wick, repacked the fuel chamber, and restored this piece to full working order. I've provided high quality photos to offer the best preview of this piece, as well as a vintage print ad for the Nimrod. Please take a look and feel free to ask any questions.

FREE SHIPPING if you order more than one item (U.S. customers only) and free local pick-up from my shop on Antique Row in Baltimore. Non-US customers, please contact me for shipping options/costs. Thanks for looking and please check out other items in my shop.
