Three vintage dip pen holders with 50 assorted pen nibs make up this set of writing instruments.

The holders, or handles, range from 6 1/2" (16.5 cm) to 7" (17.8 cm) long; all appear to be made of wood and show some wear. The yellow one is covered in dried ink, which could possibly be cleaned off, and is unmarked. One of the black ones has a broken cork at the insertion end and is stamped "No 37 by Empire." The third has a metal collar at the insertion end and has advertising on it for The Provident Savings Bank & Trust Co. of Cincinnati. All are able to hold the nibs

The steel nibs, or points, are from various manufacturers, including: H. F. Krueger (#125) of Kansas City, Ideal (# 1) of Chicago, Hunt Recorder (#38), W. H. Kistler (# 8), and Spencerian Pen Co. (# 28) of New York / England. Please note that there are unequal quantities of each point.
