Mid-Century 1950's Historic Golfing Industry Transition Clubs, when golf club shafts transformed from wood to steel the steel shafts were often coated to look like wood or bamboo so as to be more acceptable to those who thought the common wood shaft was the only way shafts could be made. Here are 2-Two vintage golf clubs with steel heads & bamboo look steel shafts. Tournament clubs In good overall sturdy condition, the leather grips are in very good condition, bamboo covering has some chippy peeling areas, irons have dings, scratches & surface rust.. Approximately 36" #9 iron & 38" #3 iron. Industrial Mid-Century Collectible. A great convo piece as most don't know the history behind them.
