This magazine is a treasure trove for Victorian fashion researchers. It has illustrations of hair styles and bonnets, children’s clothing, embroidery patterns, ladies’ dresses, over skirts, and dress trims. The every-day dresses section includes a little pattern for the bodice of a walking dress. Plus it has many Victorian stories and articles, and a musical score. The pages are numbered 249 - 307, plus 1 page of ads at the end, and 8 pages of illustrations and 2 of music at the beginning.

It’s been well read (make that, scruffy along the edges, with some bent corners). There are a few pencil markings. *The covers are missing on this issue.*

I was going through my antique fashion magazine stash, and found some duplicates. Except that the front and back covers are missing, this is a whole (as far as I can tell) issue of Peterson’s Ladies National Magazine, for April 1875, vol. LXVII, no. 4. There are NO color plates, but many black and white engravings. Well, not white. The paper has aged to a yellow-tan.

-- If I can ship multiple-item orders cheaper than my posted rates, I'll refund any excess postage over $1.00.

Thank you for looking!
