Drive-In Asylum continues to prominently stand out as the overall coolest publication devoted to all things rad in the world of horror, sleaze, regional filmmaking, etc. Loved the interview/article on the film EFFECTS.

I have not yet received the issue, but don't decry a positive bias! I ordered issue #14 out of my adoration for the medium and the fanzine aesthetic. Plus, Sam Panico's illustrated Joe Bob Briggs was too cool. It's an apt facsimile for what many predict: the rightful canonization as Patron Saint of the Drive-In, when that beloved man shuffles off. I absolutely loved Iss # 14, particularly Joe Bob's interview, even though its hard to press a legend like him for more juicy tidbits or drive-in factoids we haven't already badgered him with. I also appreciate the amount of contributors working together under Bill's editorialship. I'm patiently waiting for a few back orders (In Canada, so delays are to be expected). I predict the forthcoming post to be full of wonderful dialogue and fun features. Great work, DRIVE-IN ASYLUM and CO.

I picked this up because it features the movie EFFECTS. Fantastic and fun horror zine. If you love horror/grindhouse/explorations films - you will like this book. Interesting interviews and reviews plus tons of old school ads. Highly recommended.
