In this kit to make a Icelandic traditional "Hyrna" there is 5,2oz (150g) of yarn . The yarn is hand dyed with natural colors from plants from the Icelandic nature. The red tone is from Madder root, the blue is indigo (not part og Icelandic nature but part of the coloring tradition), and the brown is as Icelandic as it gets, it is the lichen Parmelia saxatilis that gives the brown colors that the vikings used.
The Hyrna is very simple to make and might be good for beginners. The needles (not included) are no 3,5 but the Icelandic yarn einband can handle smaller or larger needles. The skeins are the same color. You start knitting the Hyrna at the neck.

The yarn is called Hespa wich is the name for skein in Icelandic.
Shipping 2-3 weeks. Included: 3 skeins of yarn and directions for making a "Hyrna" as seen in the picture (not same colors). Needles not included.
Ships all over the world.
