Be Edwardian.... this lovely 14k yellow gold locket is Edwardian in origin, circa 1912. The locket front has a central diamond etched design inset with a small diamond, the back has five letters engraved on it all in elegant capital letters in a script font; the letters are BTS PM. Both front and back have a beaded rim around the outside edge of the locket. The locket opens to two photos wells, photo covers and rings are present and fit well. When I bought this locket several years ago, the man who was selling it had found the locket in the S. Kind & Sons Diamond Merchants Jewelers & Silversmiths Catalogue P of 1912; the retail price then was $10. The locket opens to two photos wells, photo covers and rings are present and fit well. The chain is a fine link 14k gold filled new chain.
Condition: excellent, the locket is structurally sound, everything in good working order; it closes tightly and stays closed, and the photo protectors and rings are without damage. The locket has a few light surface scratches, but no dents, dings, or noticeable scratches.
Dimensions: locket is just a little over 1” with loop and a little over .875” diameter without loop; chain length is 15.5"
Hallmarks: ‘14k’ inside just under the diamond with a tiny mark somewhat like a four leaf clover.
