Embrace the beautiful life with this exquisite Pickard China coffee pot. This pot has an art deco flair and is in the Mystique pattern, from about 1980. It holds 4-5 cups of coffee. Its decoration is 24 karat gold, like all Pickard China. Pickard is a family-run business (since 1893) in Antioch, Illinois. Their serving pieces are so well-regarded they have been specially ordered by the State Dept. for American embassies all over the world, for Camp David and Air Force One, the King of Saudi Arabia, and even for Queen Elizabeth of England, a lady who surely knows fine tableware when she sees it. This coffee pot is about 10 inches high to the top of its lid's finial, and 8 inches across from spout tip to the handle's outer edge. It is in very fine condition. Its colors are black, gold, and toast against a creamy ivory base.

This pattern can still be special-ordered from Pickard, new, but a Mystique coffee pot like this one would cost about $250. So while it may be true that there's no such thing as a free lunch, it is likewise true that you can buy a gorgeous, lovingly made china coffee pot at a remarkably fair price.
