Own a little piece of American History by purchasing this cute pillow. This cat pillow was made from a VERY old and VERY tattered delicate quilt originally made in the 1930's.

*Handmade pillow, by me, using my original cat shape drawing
*One of a kind because it was cut from a section of an old tattered quilt
*Size is 10.5" tall and 8.5" wide
*Stuffed with new poly fiberfill
*It would be a perfect accent to country farmhouse decor or on an antique bed or chair

When I purchased this quilt, it looked like it was well loved and very old, and I just had to find a use for this little bit of American history. The seller told me it was from the 1930's but didn't know any other information about it. Upon inspection, it looks like it was 100% hand pieced and hand quilted. I brought it home, machine washed and tumble dried it. I thought if it fell apart, I would be heartbroken, but I couldn't re-purpose it or use it unless I made sure it was clean. I decided to make small items to share with others.

Imagine, almost 100 years ago, this quilt being used on the porch of an old farm house, on a cool summer evening, while sipping a cool drink, watching the fireflies buzz around in the trees.
