As someone who is fascinated by American folklore, I love this minicomic zine. Not only is it well-written and drawn in a cool visual style, but the research put into it is also quite interesting. I especially appreciate how the artist's life experiences color the narrative of a larger-than-life slice of Midwestern culture. This zine took me on a journey, and I had a lot of fun along the way!
This zine is a fucking gem. Buy one for the Hoosier or Buckeye in ur life.
An excellent story about a weird piece of Dayton-Cincy history. I don’t think I knew what old boy was actually made out of before reading this zine. Wild.
